This note contains instructions for synchronizing the contacts in your Global Address List with your handheld device. By synchronizing Global Address List contacts you will have the ability to:
1. Use Global Address List contacts as meeting attendees in the Calendar Application, and
2. Address emails to Global Address List contacts using the Lookup feature in the Beyond Contacts Inbox Application.
Instructions
The notes folder (titled Beyond Contacts) above this Note contains a contacts folder which contains an Outlook distribution list (BC Global Address List) which was created by Beyond Contacts during the initial synchronization. That distribution list includes contacts that are currently assigned to meetings you have in your Outlook calendar. After you synchronize with Beyond Contacts, the attendees in that distribution list will be available to you in the Global Address List in Beyond Contacts.
If you would like to add contacts to the BC Global Address List, follow these steps:
1. Highlight the Beyond Contacts contact folder, located above this note in your Outlook folder directory.
2. Double click on the BC Global Address List distribution list.
3. Click on the Select Members buttons.
4. Highlight the contacts from your Outlook Global Address List that you would like add to the distribution list and select the Members button.
5. Tap OK to close the Select Members dialog.
6. Tap Save and Close and those newly added contacts will be added to the distribution list.
7. Synchronize and those contacts will be available in the Global Address List in Beyond Contacts.
PLEASE NOTE: The BC Global Address List distribution list is being used for the sole purpose of bringing those contacts to your Global Address List in Beyond Contacts. This distribution list will not appear as a distribution list in your Contacts application on your handheld.
